Dear Family and Friends,

Surprise, surprise!  Yes, the Tolles have finally made it to the USA.

We have come as quickly as possible after we received the great news that Yein had been approved for a visa by the United States Embassy to travel to the U.S.  We’ve been waiting a long time.

I am really looking forward to touching base with as many of you as possible and having the privilege of introducing you to Yein and Nora for the first time – face to face.

In that regard, I was talking with my Dad a few days ago about having a reunion get-together for anyone and everyone.  It would allow us the opportunity to enjoy a long-awaited embrace and greeting. We’re planning it for mid-afternnon on Sunday, November 13th.  I hope you’ll be able to come.

It’s been a challenging few years with Yein’s visa application denials by the U.S. Embassy.  But after 4 years of applications, interviews, and denials, God gave favor and the approval was granted for her to travel to the U.S.

Doing missions work is an all-consuming lifestyle and I’ve not been able to stay up on all the correspondence, though many of you reading this email have followed me on Facebook as I’ve made attempts to stay up-to-date.

We’re looking forward to seeing you . . . our family and friends!  While we are in the States, we are planning to catch up on some much needed rest and enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas with family.  I’ll also have a number of church speaking engagements.  I trust we will have the blessing of connecting with you!

By the time you read this we’ll have landed, adjusted to the right time zone, and Yein will have had her first In-N-Out burger – one of many first-time experiences she’ll have in the U.S.

Love you!  Bless you!
Sam (Yein and Nora)
